Rose Garden Pics

Tuesday evening I went to Grady to take pics of Clay and Samantha Eifling and their kids, Kaylee and Chance. We did the pic in Clay's grandfather's rose garden. People come from all over to his garden. It is such a beautiful place! This was the first time I'd been there when the roses were at their peak. It's such a nice place to take pictures.



I took Jackson and my niece, Samantha, with me to the rose garden. I wanted to get some pictures of them together and this was the perfect place to do it!! Hopefully, my mother-in-law won't read this blog before Mother's Day!!!

Another win for the Sidewinders

Is it easy to tell what I spend most of my time doing this year?!?
It seems every other post on here is of a baseall game!!

We had a great game Monday night and are now 4-0.

I get lots of these shots each week. I think I get on the coaches nerves because the entire game I'm telling them to "move over" and "get out of the way."

Rainy Day

Just as predicted, we had a day full of rain. It was a classic rainy day. Makes me wish I had a bay window with a bench and lots of fluffy pillows and time to sit and read a good book! Instead I spent the majority of the day working at the computer trying to catch up on all my work! Every so often, I would stop what I was doing and go look out the window or open the door and listen to the wind blowing and the rain falling. We never really did get storms, but the wind was strong all day long. I love the way it sounds when the rain is steady and the wind is blowing through the trees.

Many little branches full of new leaves fell out of the trees with all the wind blowing today.

They look like little pom-poms laying all over the yard!

Water is standing all over our yard and this little pond is out by my studio!

I hope it dries quickly!!

Sidewinders are 3-0

Our third game was Friday night and it was a CLOSE one! We were down 7-8 in the last inning and the other team scored another run when they were at bat. We were at the top of our lineup and our first two batters got on base. Zack House came up to bat and hit a triple that scored the other two runners, tying the game. Jackson was up to bat and ended up getting the RBI which won the game for us. It was a close one - but we'll take a win any way it comes!

Zach Altom SR 2006

This evening I did a senior session for Zach Altom. He is always so easy to take pics of because he seems to read my mind before I tell him where to sit or stand - and he's a natural in front of the
camera. . . that makes my job SO much easier!

Mandy and Jeremy

Last Friday, I had the chance to tag along on an engagment shoot with my friend and fellow photographer, Maury Draper of Warren. She was doing engagment pics for Mandy and Jeremy, an awesome couple. It's was easy to see how in love this couple is! The have a great story and we talked of how cool it would be to be able to tell their story to their grandchildren some day. One lives in DC, the other near Atlanta. They met on a plane and have spent many weekends in airports commuting to see each other. Maury thought it would be a good idea to do their engagment pics in the airport, since that is significant in their life! We actually surprised (ambushed?!? :) ) Jeremy at the airport. He didn't know Maury would be there AND with another photographer in tow! He was a great sport and we all had a really good time doing their pictures! We also went to the Old Mill and took some pictures there!






I send a big THANK YOU to Maury and Mandy & Jeremy for letting me tag along! I had a great day with all of you!

More Baseball

I'll be really busy for the next few weeks with baseball games. . . so they'll be lots of baseball pics here. I'm going to try to choose one photo from each game to post.

We got behind on the scoreboard in tonight's game. We had two outs and time was running out in the game. Zack Harrington came up to bat and got a great hit - a triple!! It started a rally for us and we scored the maximum number of runs allowed per inning (6) and the final score was 9-6. We were VERY proud of this win!!

Well, our baseball season has begun. . . and so far, so good ! We had our first game tonight and although it wasn't looking good for us at first - we managed to pull out the victory. We won 11 - 6. One thing was certain though. . . even if we never won a game - we looked good! Have I ever mentioned that green is my favorite color?!?! :)

The Lady Dogs were playing Hamburg for the district championship. It was a tough game and in the end the girls from Hamburg were able to pull off the victory.

Anden Owen

Last night I had a great time taking pics of Anden Owen. He will turn one early next month and while we were getting the shots for his party invitation, he would get up and walk towards me... one time I was able to focus on him - but he was right under the lights so it really blew out the picture... but I kind of like the way it turned out - it's definitely a really good pic of his beautiful eyes! Sometimes 'mistakes' turn out to be kind of cool!


Anden had a great time with his cake pictures. He was so much fun - he smiled the whole time and he really enjoyed getting in that birthday cake!

Kacee Roberts 2006 SCHS Senior

A couple of weeks ago I did a senior session for Kacee. While looking over my blog last night, I realized that I'd forgotten to put some of her pics on my blog -- so I apologize to Kacee for taking so long to do that! We had a great session and I think her pics turned out great.

Easter Pics

This little bunny's name is Cottontail. He now belongs to Kaegan Holthoff... she really loved the bunnies and I'm so glad her mom and dad let her have this one. He was my favorite bunny of the bunch - I've never seen a rabbit with fur like this one had. It was more like a lamb's fur. It was kind of curly and he felt like a big cotton ball. He was a sweet bunny, too. He would climb right on my neck and just lay there and cuddle - I'm glad he's gone to a good home! And I keep calling him "he"... but who knows?!!? He may be a she!! Good thing they only took ONE bunny!
